Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts is the largest hotel next to the airport: 570 rooms and suites at 2 Resorts Drive, Pasay, a few minutes on foot from Terminal 3 through the air-conditioned Runway Manila footbridge, with seven restaurants and bars, Quan Spa, two health clubs, four pools and free self-parking. It is the flagship of Newport City and the default choice for an international arrival at Terminal 3 that ends too late for the drive into Makati.

Rooms

The 570 rooms are split between the original tower and the newer West Wing. Guest Rooms are 36 sq m, Larger Guest Rooms 46 sq m, and the suites run from the 72 sq m One Bedroom Junior Suite through the Marriott Suite (180 sq m) and the Presidential Suite (212 sq m) to the 261 sq m Chairman Suite. All have marble bathrooms with a separate tub and shower, THANN toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, a desk with an ergonomic chair, a safe and a mini fridge; many West Wing rooms have balconies and sunset views over the runway. Executive Lounge rooms add lounge breakfast and evening cocktails on the club floor.

Breakfast and dining

Marriott Cafe serves the breakfast buffet from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, lunch from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and dinner from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with Filipino and international stations; the Marriott Cafe Bakery next door does grab-and-go coffee and pastries for early flights.

CRU Steakhouse is open for dinner only, 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm (to 11:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays). Man Ho serves Cantonese food from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm, Mian is the noodle bar with dumplings and rice bowls, and Crema is the coffee house.

The Greatroom lobby bar is open from 10:00 am to 1:00 am, Still in the West Wing serves tea and whisky from 11:00 am to midnight, and the Poolbar covers the main pool. Room service runs 24 hours.

Facilities and services

Quan Spa (9:00 am to 1:00 am) does massages, scrubs, wraps and facials. There are two fitness centres, the Marriott Hotel Manila Health Club with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and the West Wing Health Club, both open 24 hours.

Four pools: the main outdoor pool with the Poolbar, a children’s pool, the West Wing lap pool on The Deck, and two whirlpools, open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Executive Lounge is open from 6:00 am to midnight. A complimentary Kids Club, a hair salon, same-day dry cleaning, luggage storage and a business centre round it out; the Grand Ballroom seats 3,800 and the hotel has 95,000 sq ft of meeting space. Check-in is at 3:00 pm, check-out at 12:00 pm, and the hotel is smoke-free. Pets are not allowed.

Location and transport

The hotel stands beside Newport Mall in Newport World Resorts, 1 km from Terminal 3 by road and a few minutes on foot once you are across Runway Manila, the 220-metre air-conditioned footbridge from the Terminal 3 arrivals level that is open around the clock. Terminals 1 and 2 are on the other side of the runways, about 15 to 25 minutes by car depending on traffic, and the hotel sells a private transfer at ₱2,200 one way; the free inter-terminal shuttle is the budget option.

How do I walk from NAIA Terminal 3 to the Manila Marriott Hotel?

Leave the arrivals hall, follow the overhead signs for Runway Manila and Newport World Resorts, and cross the 220-metre air-conditioned footbridge, which is open 24 hours with moving walkways and lifts at both ends. It lands at Newport Mall; the Marriott is the tower beside the mall, a few minutes further on foot. Allow 10 to 15 minutes from the arrivals hall with luggage. The bridge does not serve Terminals 1, 2 or 4; from those take a taxi, Grab or the free inter-terminal shuttle to Terminal 3 first.

Does the Manila Marriott Hotel have an airport shuttle?

No scheduled shuttle, because Terminal 3 is a walk away. Newport World Resorts runs a 24-hour shuttle between the Newport end of Runway Manila and the hotels, and the hotel sells a private one-way airport transfer (about ₱2,200 one way, ₱4,400 return, booked in advance) for guests flying from Terminals 1 and 2.

Is breakfast included?

Only on rates that say so. The buffet at Marriott Cafe runs from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and is charged separately on room-only rates; Executive Lounge rooms include breakfast in the lounge.

Is parking free?

Self-parking is complimentary for registered guests, one parking pass per room, with valet at ₱50 a day. Overnight parking without a room is charged at ₱1,000. The car park is shared with Newport Mall.
